OKAY.
We have started a yahoo answers column on
"what are your views on global warming?"
Here are some answers, some are positive,
but some are also negative.
"Ok, when a volcano erupts there is enough pollution created in on
day as one human being creates in a lifetime. You do the math."
In response to that, someone else said,
"That means each group of ~25500 people
(based on an average life of 70 years) make as much
each day as 1 volcano, there are 3 billion of us,
based on these figures we would produce
as much polution each day as ~117640 volcanos?
More acurate figures on Volcanos & Co2 are :
Volcanos 200-250 million tons per year
Humans 40-45 billion tons per year"
Another comment:
"If it keeps our British winters mild i say
spray more aerosoles as the ozone"
and:
"Global Warming IS real however it is blown
SO out of proportion it's unreal"
"HUMANS CANNOT CONTROL THE WEATHER!"
"we do it all by ourselves,
sawing of the limb of the tree we sit on."
"activities of humans responsible for global warming:
deforestation, mining, nuclear power, rockets to space which create ozone holes, overuse of power.
Natural causes:
volcano,forest fire, outer space debris
entering to our atmosphere.
so humans are 85% responsible."

Some interesting views:
Our interpretation is that the global warming
non-believers are pretending to be oblivious
to global warming, when
they are already almost trapped
underwater/

This picture is trying to say that business men are
deceived by the "small dog"
infront of the BIG sign, laughing at it,
not noticing the big bad wolf behind it.

Hello.
we conducted a quick survey on 15 people today.
the questions are :
1) Do you know what global warming is?
2)Do you believe that it is happening?
3) If yes, do you know you can do to combat it?
4) Do you put that into practice?
We conducted this survey within our families,
and the interviewees were of different ages, and some of different races.
the results...."drumroll*
for Q1 (Do you know what global warming is?)
all 15 people said yes, 0 people said no.
-aka, everyone knows what global warming is. even our 6 year-old niece....
for Q2 (Do you believe that it is happening?)
14 people said yes, 1 person said no.
-aka, 93.3% people believe that global warming is taking place.
one of our uncles, says that he does not believe that global warming is happening, and "it is just
a natural process, because humans cannot control the weather".
SO ITS DOWN TO 14 PEOPLE NOW
for Q3 (do you know what you can do to curb the problem?)
13 people said yes, 1 person said no
-aka, 92% of the people questioned knew what they could do.
the one who said no, of course, is our 6 year-old cousin (: haha.
AND NOW, ITS DOWN T 13 PEOPLE.
and for Q4 (do you put that into practice?)
7 people said never, 4 people said sometimes, 2 people said always
-aka, most people know about the things we can do to stop this rising problem, but almost half of
them do not bother at all, and 15% of those interviewed(2 people, out of 13) put these into
regular practice.
from this survey, we conclude that:
we all know about this problem, and the causes, and the consequences. We all strongly believe
that our earth is badly damaged, and we know how to repair it. However, majority of them hardly
put them into regular practice.
This shows how selfish we are. This is like a dying man on the roadside, but all the cars driving
pass just slow down to look, and then speed off as if they had seen nothing.
We make such a big deal of celebrities getting married, or the latest gossip, but when it comes to
the environment, we shake our head at what we see, and then act as if it is nothing important.
WE HAVE TO STOP THIS.

sometimes when we buy sunscreen,
we don't think about why it is so hot
all we ever think about is not getting a sun burn.
so maybe, after viewing this blog,
it might occur to you that getting a sunburn is the least of our problems,
and that maybe that global warming is!
